A CONSISTENT START FOR POLLICINA MOTORSPORTS IN SIX HOUR QUALIFYING

The first hour of the Dial Before You Dig Australian Six Hour has been a relatively trouble free one for Pollicina Motorsports. With Jim Pollicina starting the race in the team’s Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII from ninth position, the car got a quick jump off the start line as the lights went out for the six-hour journey around Eastern Creek.

Making up two spots from his starting position, he eventually settled into a pace of 1m48s laps, which remained constant throughout the first hour. While this consistent pace would cost him the two spots he gained at the start, he is currently sitting ninth out on the track and is still within range to his nearest competitors, the Subaru Impreza WRX STi of Jim Hunter and the GWS BMW 335i of reigning Bathurst 12 Hour champion, John Bowe.

Pollicina will make the team’s first pit stop at the two hour mark and will hand over to Anthony Loscialpo.
